Significant Increase in Youth Screen Time & Social Media Use
A 2021 survey from the nonprofit research organization Common Sense Media revealed a 17 percent increase in overall screen time for tweens and teens from 2019 to 2021.
Average Daily Screen Use:
- Tweens (8 to 12): 5 hours and 44 minutes
- Teens (13-18): 8 hours and 39 minutes
